Invisible

How many layers should I peel
Until I reach myself and reveal
The real person I am within
The core of my soul, I grasp

How many pages should I turn
Until I reach the beginning of me
The first person I used to be
The first mask I wore

What colours are these faces
Dark, bleak dull or rainbow like
Do they have any traces
Scars of wounds or signs of smiles

Are there records printed on them
Of every blink or bursting laugh
Every time a wilted flower
Dropped down, then came to life

Will I ever reach my soul
It is far distance than any star
Will I ever catch a glimpse
Of what is invisible to the eye
